Our History

In 2005 True Light Holiness Church was born in a small single-wide trailer. This church was a vision that had burned in our Pastor’s heart for years. The vision was a call from God for the lost and dying sinners in our community, and in our world. We started with nothing but what God decided we needed and that was it. In the very beginning, God blessed us with an old trailer that no one thought could be used for anything anymore, but God had other plans. So, after months of cleaning, tiling, painting, and even tearing down a wall, we had our first service on August 21, 2005. With nothing more than a tambourine, plastic chairs, and a Sunday School stand, but we had the power of God and that was all we needed.

Some years later when what felt like, at the time, a trial, later we knew it was a blessing that we needed, to move from the single-wide trailer. Just one mile down the road was an empty building formerly used as an emergency medical services building, with God’s provision we were not going just to rent it, but He made a way for us to buy it. We were able to start having church in the “kitchen” side of that building on January 10th, 2010.

God blessed us in the beginning with a few in number but mightily with the intent of the heart, of those few. With what started as twelve people, including the leaders of the church, grew and dropped off in numbers throughout the years. It was questioned at times “why can’t we grow?” but it was once said and it has stuck with me, that we must be formed before we can be filled.

As God continues to form True Light to be what He Wills, He is blessing this humble church with souls, with a burden for the lost, a burden for our youth….. God is blessing!!!

As of November 6th, 2011, we were in our fully operational church building. Big and roomy, compared to our beginning. Beautiful and full of the power of God.
